The senior adult minister at First Baptist Church is Stephanie Mefford. She oversees the activities of the senior adult council and coordinates the Nursing Home ministries, as well as visiting shut ins. The "Top of the Hill Gang" (TOTH) is a group of adults age 50 and older who enjoy activities together such as trips, luncheons and other activities. Each year they sponsor a mystery trip to a variety of places. No one knows for sure where they are going (except Shirley) but they are definitely on the way with a Christian heart and joy of being with each other. The trips are planned by the senior adult council with Shirley Steiner providing much of the legwork. The other group is our very own Red Hat Club. Activities for the group are planned by Shirley Steiner. This group for women age 55 and older is typical of other Red Hat groups in some ways. They wear purple dresses and red hats when they go out together, but they also have a ministry goal each time they meet. It may be collecting items for the children's home or items for a needy family at Christmas. Whatever it is, they do it with love and a Christian attitude. They are great ambassadors!
