OUR CHALLENGE IS IN OUR PURPOSE STATEMENT:

To glorify God we will connect people to Jesus and his family, provide challenging experiences for Christian growth and share the gospel with others by ministering to our community in our daily lives.

Our Church has affirmed the Baptist Faith and Message of 1963.  A summary of key points follows this note.  If you would like to see the entire text of the document you will find it here.

A SUMMARY OF OUR BELIEFS ABOUT:

1) Scripture: The Bible was written by divinely inspired men and is God's revelation of Himself to us.  It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error for its matter.

2) God
: There is one God who reveals himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  He reigns with all power, knowing all, and is in all places at all times.  We owe Him all love, reverence and obedience.  Honoring Him is our ultimate purpose.  He came to us incarnate as Jesus, the son of a Virgin, to bring salvation and life.  The Spirit dwells with us as our helper and advocate.

3) Mankind: The crowning work of creation, mankind was made in God's own image and fell from grace through an act of disobedience. Only through the grace of God can humanity be restored to relationship with Him.

4) Salvation: This is the free gift of God through Jesus Christ which includes regeneration, sanctification, and glorification.  It is available to all who believe and trust on the Lord Jesus Christ.

5) The Church: This is the local, autonomous body of baptized believers joined together to worship and serve God.  We are committed to His teachings, exercising the gifts He gives, and spreading the Gospel.

6) The Ordinances: There are two ordinances given by God for the church to observe.  Baptism is observed to demonstrate the inward experience of Salvation for all to recognize the event in the life of a new believer.  The Lord's Supper is given for us to remember the sacrifice of His death on the cross and the atoning work of His blood on our behalf.
